About this course

The BPI Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) is an advanced certification for home performance professionals. A BA-P is a certified Building Analyst Technician who also conducts energy modeling, building analysis, and data evaluation in order to provide a comprehensive report with a list of prioritized home performance recommendations.

The BA-P certification is earned by passing an online written exam. An active Building Analyst Technician (BA-T) certification is required for BA-Ps. Learn about how to earn the BA-T certification here.

A BAP-certified individual is tasked with creating work scope, estimating materials and labor, developing, and implementing solutions, and inputting the data into an energy modeling system so that calculations can be made to improve the energy use and safety of the building. The Building Analysis Professional (BAP) is a highly regarded certification that many private and public organizations use. The Building Analysis Professional (BAP) is a written examination; a 70% score must be achieved to become certified. The candidate must have completed the BAT examination to sit for this exam.

NOTE: Exam fees not included. When you're ready to schedule your exam you will be promoted to pay the $425 exam fee at that time.
