About this course

Solar Landscape’s goal is to promote sustainability education across the US and develop a network of high school students who are seeking to affect change in their communities. The program offers students a chance to learn about energy, policy, careers, business strategies and environmental issues through a series of pre-recorded webinars.

Participants who complete this course will have a deeper understanding of the following topics:

  • Introduction to Energy
  • Sustainable Policies
  • Community Solar
  • Careers in Green Energy (Solar)
  • Green Energy Business & Entrepreneurship

Once each module has been finished, you will need to complete one short quiz testing your knowledge of the subject matter; the quiz will be comprised of a few multiple choices questions. The introductory Powerpoint linked below details the Green Ambassador Program.

Introduction to 2024's Green Ambassador Program

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in our Green Ambassador program (GAP). Our hope is that through the the knowledge you gain about green energy and sustainability, you will be inspired become a positive change-maker and leader of tomorrow. By participating in this program, you already are taking steps in that direction!

Over the next few weeks, you will have the opportunity to view 5 modules centered around green energy. Each module has a video with a corresponding quiz. Some of the modules include supplemental resources to support your learning. The modules are self paced and you can view them when it works best for you, as long as you complete all by April 27, 2024.

You will need to complete the webinars to register for the scholarship challenge; the form to register is in module 7.

After completing the modules, you will be eligible to compete in the Community Sustainability Challenge. If you have any questions or concerns as you work through the program, feel free to email me. I look forward to working with you.
