Patrick Murphy

As Director of Sustainable Design for Vanderweil Engineers, Patrick is translating his experience and passion for sustainability into integrated and innovative designs while leading the Vanderweil Building Performance Group. Patrick is eager to work collaboratively with architects and engineers to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for each client, and to lead the A/E/C industry towards a carbon neutral/positive future.

Patrick’s sustainable design experience is highlighted by his involvement and leadership in the MEP design of three LEED Platinum projects, an off-grid net zero facility, and two projects earning the highest certification by Green Globes. His leadership in sustainable design has been recognized with three regional ASHRAE Technology Awards, two USGBC Maryland Awards for Excellence in Green Building, and first place in the national Metropolis Magazine NextGen Design Competition.
