We want to do in-person classroom learning as a group - can HeatSpring help us?

Yes. This is a new thing we're really excited about. If your team wants to do classroom learning, here's how we can help you:

• Everybody gets enrolled into the online course. Now everyone’s learning is uncapped. If they get sick or miss a session for any reason, they will have access to all of the lessons and content they need to successfully complete the course.

• At least one person from your group needs to be the ‘team leader’, or "classroom teacher". They are responsible for facilitating the group’s learning. They need to get pre-approval from HeatSpring to do this. Email "teach@heatspring.com" or "teams@heatspring.com" or call 800-393-2044 x1 to get pre-approval.

• Classroom teachers can use the online course materials in whatever way is most useful. They can play videos, deliver their own lectures based on the topics of the day, use assessments from the online course, create their own new content.

• Classroom teachers take attendance and certify the class roster for the day.

• Classroom teachers attest to which specific topics from the online course were taught in class.

• HeatSpring gives everybody who attended the classroom on that day credit for the assignment topics that were covered in person.

• When students complete the course, regardless of how many assignments were completed online or in the classroom, they can access a certificate of completion through their HeatSpring account.

Here’s the thing we need to be careful about:

We need to preserve HeatSpring's status as an education provider for certifications like NABCEP, IGSHPA, BPI and others. So HeatSpring is accountable for making sure people really do the work and complete the training.

That’s why classroom teachers are asked to document what the group does. We’ll collect and retain attendance and coursework documentation for each classroom session. Classroom teachers need to be pre-approved by HeatSpring to qualify for this program. Credit for completed assignments can't be given without the required documentation.
