As a team training leader, you have tools to make sure unused course seats don't go to waste, whether a teammate left the company, changed roles, or simply no longer needs a course that was assigned to them.
Where to Find Unused Seats
From the left side menu in your Team Dashboard, you'll find two tabs:

Available Seats shows seats that were purchased but never assigned to anyone.

Idle Seats shows enrollments where the teammate hasn't visited in 30 days and is under 10% progress. These are the stalled seats worth acting on. Course access still runs from the original enrollment date.
What You Can Do with Idle Seats
For each idle seat, you have three options:

Transfer — Moves the seat to a different teammate right away.

Reclaim — Moves the seat back to you to reassign later as an available seat for that course.

Hide — Hides the seat from this view so you can check back in 30 days.
A few things to know:
- Only enrollments under 10% completion are eligible. Enrollments over 10% complete cannot be reassigned or converted to an available seat.
- The original enrollment date carries over. The new enrollee receives whatever time remains on the original one-year access window.
- Enrollments older than one year can't be reassigned or converted. However, the original enrollee can still access the course if they have an active HeatSpring Membership.
- For bundles, each course is evaluated separately when determining transfer eligibility.
